The BROACH for polygonal slots is a specially shaped tool; one end is secured to the spindle of the BR broaching machine, and the other end features the profile of the slot to be cut. The broaches in this product line are made of two types of steel:
– HSS steel. This type of steel is characterized by its high wear resistance and its ability to absorb the vibrations generated during the broaching process.
– SINTERED steel. It is distinguished by its excellent hardness and compressive strength, even in high-temperature environments. It is particularly well-suited for very demanding machining operations and for working with highly resistant metals (e.g., titanium). The broaches are manufactured in seven size series, identified by the diameter of the shank that connects to the broaching machine: G5, G8, G8A, G12, G12A, G16, G16M, G16L, G25. In addition to the standard items featured in the General Catalog, BRIGHETTI MECCANICA s.r.l. is able to manufacture custom profiles based on the technical specifications requested by the customer.
